It's Camp Time!

Here is what camp looked like this past summer.  You will have to stay tuned to find out what camps are coming in 2025!

Farmers Michele and Dave Greenockle, have planned 2 unique and memorable weeks for your child to interact with farm life and create farm-themed art for a last summer hoorah!  We are welcoming children, ages 6-12, to Mountain Forge Farm for a drop- off summer camp 9 am - 2 pm on August 5th-9th. The 5 day camp will be split between farm school and art school… half of the campers will begin with Farmer Dave for a fun-filled adventure in the pastures and garden, while the rest of the group will be creating farm-inspired 2-D and 3-D artwork inside with Farmer Michele - then switch! Space is limited to 16 campers. 

Here is what you can expect: The Farm School portion of camp will include a farm lesson and farm chores. The campers will be working in the garden, and may even enjoying fresh tastes from their hard work! They will get to interact with chickens, sheep, and goats, with a possible visit from the barn cats! Baby chicks will be arriving to Mountain Forge Farm just the week before camp! The Art School portion will be held indoors, and the campers will be using paint, paper mache, clay, and more! Our sample schedule is below, but the campers will bring a water, snack, packed lunch, and swimming gear. The day will end with swimming in our farm pool! (This is with parent approval- swim devices welcome for those who need it- and parents are welcome to do a pick-up prior to the swimming portion at the end of the camp day.  There will also be water games as other options to cool off!)

9:15-10:15 (grouped by aged) for Farm or Art 

10:15-10:45 Snack Break and group activity

10:45-11:45 Farm or Art 

12:00- 12:15  Group Farm Lesson

12:15-1:15 Lunch & Group Game

1:15-2:00 Swim time! Monitored Pool fun!

 

Price: $250 + $50 material fee for art school & farm school projects (including a camp t-shirt)

WEEK 1: July 8th - 12th, 2024  

WEEK 2: August 5th-9th, 2024
